Dot And Dora Compete In A Kennel  Club Obedience Show.

The classes on Saturday were enormous.  However Dora did very well we only lost 6.5 on the pre-beginners test.  On the beginners test it was handler error as I held the lead too tight and lost 5.5 for that and she went to finish in the recall too early but that was my fault to for not telling her to wait.  Her first retrieve and I was absolutely over the moon as we only lost 1.75 marks she went straight out on command and brought the article back then waited.  I could not have asked for any more of her.   Hope you are all well  Regards Dot

Congratulations well done, we are all very proud of you both, Dot  and Dora are a  fantastic unique team! As far as I am aware there are no other bedlingtons competing in Kennel Club  Obedience Shows. Are you coming to the fun day?

No Stopping Our Bedlington Puppies

Janmark Misty Horizons (J) had an excellent day today, she visited Yorkshire, Pontefract & District C/S, at Snaith. She was fortunate to win a good puppy class in AVNSC & went on to go Terrier Puppy Group 1 & then hit the ultimate for the second successive Sunday by going Best Pup in Show. Unfortunately no photos.
regards, Mark

Fantastic news Mark congratulations, at this rate you will need to take out a mortgage to afford all the celebrating! It is not easy winning out of AVNSC classes, well done!

What a special day at today at  Lowestoft, Oulton Broad & District CS  Members' Limited Show, for our teenagers. 14 bedlingtons entered today with Best Of Breed going to Sarah Collier with Lily and Best Puppy to Victoria with Rose. Lily went on to win the adult terrier group and Rose was awarded puppy group 2. What a result for Rose’s  debut show, Rose is only just six months old! A special day too for Lily returning to the ring after having a litter of beautiful pups. Well done girls you are a credit to the breed!

Show photos tomorrow on our Junior Handler Day!

Hello Everyone from Oracoke

I am running a bit late here, the day is getting away from me. The rain has finally stopped and the wind has stopped blowing, sunny today, with blue skies......still cold thought.
Greyson seems to be all better. I can't help but watch her closely. She is still on her meds and probiotics for another 2 days. She is working on her last tin of I/D. I am feeding her mostly her regular food and I am adding the I/D to that. I think she will be disappointed when it is gone. I am not sure when this happened, but I just noticed today, the my very pale coated Amelia, is full of color! She is not quite 2 1/2 years....it seems to have snuck up on me! Now she blends in with the rest of her sisters. I spent the evening last night watching the AKC Ekanuba Dog Show. The show was actually in Nov. or Dec., but I love watching all the beautiful dogs and trying to pick the winners. Soon it will be time for Westminster, I believe it is on TV on the 16th & 17th of Feb. That show we get to watch live. Poor Chris, he patiently sits and watches all these dogs shows with me. That is all from me today. It has been a very quiet week, which is fine, after the scare with Grey last week. Love to all of you from all of us here in Ocracoke.
PS Enclosed a photo of Willo when she as a pup.....got all my old photos off my old computer before it died. Tricia, Greyson, Rose ,Willo ,Amelia & Storey (My Woofs in Sheeps Clothing)

Baby_Willo,_Sam_the_cat_&_GreysonThank you Tricia so pleased that Greyson is better, it must have been so worrying to se her so poorly! Thank you for reminding us about “Westminster” hopefully we will be able to download a video clip of the Bedlingtons. We are all on the count down to Crufts with taking the dogs coats off and initial preparations are under way. We had very few shows in January but the open show season has now got under way with events up and down the country most weekends.

Molly Update!

Frances Fuller from Bedlington rescue  rang this afternoon with good news, to say Molly has settled in with her new family in Crawley Sussex. What a relief to learn that this special little dog is now happy in a forever new home!

All Grown Up!

Scooter%20big%20boy%20groom

I just thought I would post a picture from my grooming today. This is Scooter, he has been featured on the Beddy Calendar, anyway, today was a big day for him, he is now finally in a full groom. I know it looks like he has a hairy chin, but not sure how, that was a 10 reverse lol. He was all nervous at 1st, and I asked his lovely mummy to stay a while. However, he was so good when she had to go, I was thrilled, Scooter is now a big boy, and rather handsome too, it was Scooter and his mummy Sarah that led me to this blog in the 1st place, never looked back Donna

Thank you Donna, it seems like yesterday when we first saw photos of Scooter on the blog playing with his border collie friends. Scooter’s photo is “March” in the Calendar, where he is deciding what to do with a couple of hedgehogs! Scooter has grown up into a beautiful boy, certainly looks fantastic after his groom!

Billybob in Florida

These three photos came in yesterday, all that is missing in this line up of liver dogs from the Gnejnabay team is Lilly,Genie  Poppy Millie and my little Asha. It is amazing as they all have the same expression!

Hello From Skye,

Its good to see it getting a bit lighter in the mornings and evenings, it means a better climate is on its way for dog walkers and photographers alike! It may also mean the return of rabbits to the garden although I haven't noticed any for a while. I think the dogs are keeping them away. If I even say the word 'rabbit' they both take off round the garden on a hunt, its a great way of coaxing them outside when its wet. Briagha is a bit more mature and grown up now, but still loves to play hide and seek with me. I often hide behind the patio curtain and wait for her to come looking. When I jump out she runs away, barks and comes back with her tail wagging furiously. Sometimes I'll hide in a different place and watch her cautiously approach the curtain, its hilarious. Cody eventually comes along to see what all the fuss is about.  Marie

dogsThank you Marie, the lighter evenings are now beginning to make a difference to daylight activities even though we have not many bright sunny days! It is lovely when the dogs want to play, Diesel always tells me by coming up to me in the kitchen bang me on the leg and starts running backwards. Unfortunately a lot of the time she wants to play and I am in the middle of doing something and can’t always oblige!   Great photo I am always amazed by the powerful jaw and size of teeth on our dogs.
