Dogs from these lines often appear quite red at birth, hence Frances Fuller's Scarlet Emperor of Plashett who had quite a red topknot even into maturity.
Blue and tans have distinct markings like a Manchester terrier or Dobermann though there are a few appearing with lakeland markings.
