Jon update
Saturday PM
Jon was x-rayed last night and Mr Keys the surgeon visited him this afternoon and unfortunately he is going to have to undergo two operations to repair the damage. Mr Keys hopes to perform the first operation on Tuesday. Unless there is any change I won't write anymore until after the operation. I have read out all your good wishes to him over the phone, he thanks you all and especially in your support to help me to keep positive.

Tricia he just fell four feet off a ladder, but onto concrete. It is just amazing how he manangd to damamged himself so much. He is being transfrered to the Oxford hospital tommorow but won't undergo any surgery until the trauma of the accident subsides.

I am so pleased that you spoke to Hefin, I think now you know what to expect it makes it a tiny little less worrying but you know where we are if you need anything at all, send Jon our love.

That's good news Lesley, let's hope that he has a speedy recovery and is out of hospital in a fortnight and you can then put your nurses uniform on!! No doubt coming home will help in his recovery.

Considering the horrific injuries he sustained and was at deaths door it is great to know that Jon is feeling a bit better today.
We are praying that he will continue to improve.
Give him our love when you visit next.

maureen said...

lesley have you been to see jon? can we have an update please.

Lesley Caines said...

Well he is a little depressed, provided he lies still he is not in too much pain thank goodness! The surgeon has confirmed his first operation wii be on Tuesday. Many thanks to Norman who came to visit him this afternoon.

maureen said...

and which norman is that,we know of two normans.

maureen said...

so is jon upto having visitors, just one or two i would think.

Lesley Caines said...

It was Norman Hyde as he lives only 20 minute drive from the hospital. Not sure when he will be fit enough for visitors after Tuesday. I will not be going on Tuesday, he won't want me there straight after the op.

lesley i think you will have to keep busy on tuesday, perhaps some trimming / agility / dancing / housework / forget the last one /
