It has been rumoured that the kennel Club are going to put in a new rule to say all dogs will have to be exhibited in the ring without handlers, as you can see the Lowbrook Bedlingtons already know what to do.
Guess the weight of Elwyn's prize winning carp. Elwyn has kindly donated his bottle of wine to the correct entry. The competition closes on Saturday, many thanks to Maureen and Elwyn for the competition. Open to everyone except all those on the fishing holiday.
We will be a Birmingham City Champ Show tomorrow to take photos, no Bedlington classes but I know a few of you are entered in AVNSC. We will also be at Richmond Champ show the following Saturday. Don't forget today is the last day to guess the weight of the fish I don't think anyone has guessed correctly as yet! There is a possibility of starting a Bedlington Meet in the South East. Do you live in the Kent area and would like to get together with Larry, Ralphie and Jack ? Perhaps through the blogg we can put people together. Well that's it from me for the minute, do keep the photos coming.
I just love this photo taken at Moorgreen last Monday. Take out the modern vehicles and this photo could have been taken years ago! It is lovely to see the Bedlingtons in working trim. Thanks to Sue Hogan for the colour photo which I changed to sepia.

Oh dear I am sorry poor Maureen is getting more confused by the minute. To be quite honest with you so am I and my husband. Slate entered class 11- Bedlington Bitch and she won it. Then she was called back in and was against the dog that won in Class 10 - Bedlington dog. That is when she got the trophy which says on the plaque at the bottom Best in Show 2007. She then stayed in for the championship class but wasn't placed. That was the one Colin won. Hope that makes sense.

Same weekend as Darlington Champ Show, why not make a weekend of it?
Hefin judged the Companion Dog Show and he had a really mixed bunch. The BIS was the Bouvier de Flandres - a great big teddy bear of a dog! He had just one Bedlington entered who was the owners pride and joy. He was a 2 year old called Sam.
Thank you Enid I bet Hefin had a hard job judging with such an assortment of dogs. Looks like you had a lovely sunny day and a very good entry.
Introducing Rhiannon's new pup Jack age 12 weeks. Jack whose Mum and Dad are Ch Bisbee Benvenuto and Ch Jossolli Jet Setter by Bisbee will be in the show ring for the first time at LKA in December. Jack is certainly a little show man already,he is looking very confident on the table!

Ralphie loves to dig up the carrots in the veg patch. I wonder if eating carrots contributed to his success in winning the obstacle course at the Fun day? Mmm, I think I had better feed carrots to Parker. Thanks to Ed and Rebecca for the photo.
This stunning group belongs to ELLEN NOADES (north east bedlingtons) who sadly has no Internet but I think would be thrilled that her brood was included in the bedlingtonpictures family. Many thanks to Elaine for introducing us to this stunning Bedlington family.
First of all congratulations to Mathew who had a great day at the Seamer show last weekend. Mouse was1st in any variety terrier and Skye was 1st in best veteran, they couldn't believe she was 13 1/2. Jake came 2nd in best crossbreed. Unfortunately it was pouring it down so no photo's were taken.
Good luck to everyone entered at SKC next weekend, hopefully Jan and Mark will send through some pictures of the winners for us. I think a lot of you are away, if not fishing, on holiday, so the blogg is really quiet. Again I am struggling to find new photos and material to keep the blogg going. This Bank Holiday is the Moorgreen Working Bedlington Championship final, good luck to Billy, hopefully he will take along his camera. We are off to the Coventry and then Leicester open shows this weekend no Bedlington classes but could not resist entering as the show venue is local to us. Parker and Fudge are competing in an obedience competition at Stratford Dog Training club tomorrow night, the way Parker is behaving right now he is sure to be last!
Changing the subject for those of you who feed raw food to their dogs, the best chicken on offer at the moment is from Tesco, their frozen economy is £1 07p a kilo. I used to buy economy chicen pieces from Farm Foods 97p but it has now gone up in price.
Well, I will look forward to receiving some photos, don't forget to take your camera if you are out and about with the dogs. It has been lovely seeing all the puppies, there is nothing more cute than a Bedlington baby!
I would like to introduce to Jeannie Breslin and MoonshadowBedlington Terriers. Jeannie is a keen photographer and has put together a collection of her puppy photos. Jeannie also runs the very successful Yahoo forum ( Bedlington L) which has many members world wide.
Bedlington-L : Bedlington-L Discussion GroupBedlington-L on Yahoo Groups is the oldest and largest discussion group dedicated to the Bedlington Terrier and the humans who love them. Their passion is to share the joys of Bedlington Terrier ownership. I am a member of Bedlington L and thought it would be nice to introduce the forum on the blogg as well as showing you her lovely photos.

Only a few light showers overnight, camping area is fine, the ground is a little wet in places but not waterlogged. The forecast for Builth over the next few days is showers drying out by the weekend. Plenty of camping spaces available. Many thanks to Stewart and Heffin for the update.
We should be at Welsh Kennel Club Championship show next Saturday. Builth Wells is situated in glorious countryside and I know a lot of you have already arrived and enjoying a holiday. Again only a few photos are in my picture file if you can help that would be great, it is surprising just how many I publish on this web site every week! Also if you have any dog related items for sale just send me a photo and a few details. Sandra Hyde who has an Yvonne Greenland bitch ( Winfell Lady Of The Night) is expecting puppies next week. For details you can contact Sandra on 01 844 261035. Pretty nasty weather here today hope it clears up quickly for all of you camping on the Welsh Show Ground saying this I wish we were over there with you..
Stewart Yearley wins Best Of Breed with Ch Lowbrook Llaffan Jw Sh.CM this afternoon. We have only just arrived home so will upload the photos tomorrow. Best bitch went to Jill Collier with Miteymidgets Cruiser. Best Puppy Judy Thompson and Jetsway Absolut Blue
Mars To End Pedigree Dog Show Sponsorship . The UK dog showing world has received a massive financial blow today with news from the Kennel Club that Mars Petcare is to end its 40 year Pedigree sponsorship of Group and General Championship Dog Shows at the end of the 2007 season.
We will be at Bourenouth tomorrow and hopefully WKC next week, Jon will have his camera and has now progressed to using crutches. He is doing really well and can now put a little weight weight on his leg. He can only take photos from a chair but hopefully we will have some to show you from the above shows.
Maureen and Tina have found a lovely farm camping site with fishing about 25 minutes drive from Middleton Cheyney. There are two spaces still available, Elywn and Maureen, Tina and Tony, Stewart and Angela have already booked, if you would like to join them please phone Maureen on 01495 711191 for details.
