There were 150 entries - some very nice pedigree dogs - but Millie stole the show and did Lisa and Sue Proud.
I didn't have anything to report this week, but I've taken a pic of the dogs standing in the porch waiting for the rain to stop. I've used software to make it look like an old monochrome photo from many years ago.
Thanks Marie I love the sepia photo with the soft focus, I am sitting here waiting for the rain to stop, I don't think the dogs will be running again today at the agility show!

Does anybody know of a rescue dog available for a lady who has kept Bedlingtons for forty years. She lost her old companion Misty recently and, as we all do, hates waking up to a silent house. She is a music teacher working from home so it must be sound with children. Apart from that anything will do. Please let me know if you know of anything suitable.
14 year old Lily, (Lowbrook Lilo Lil) turned up in the kitchen the other day with a decapitated collared dove in her jaws. Good to see she hasn't lost her touch since her days as a gun dog when she developed a pathological hatred of ducks which was useful for picking up at the end of the day. Shame she didn't pass on her enthusiasm to her son Maurice the woos.

Hi everyone as Mark is a busy bee at the moment I said I would help out with what is going on in the Nnorth East. First of all can I say well done to everyone who was showing over the weekend, Mark and Billy flying the flag for the North East and doing us proud. I had to work all weekend so wasn't able to go but you have to pay these show entries some how lol ! I also missed ringcraft so the dogs had a night off but we have a busy weekend coming up so on Saturday we have friends coming with their bedlingtons and on Sunday the North East Bedlington Meet, so a busy weekend ahead hope to see everyone there. Julie x
Thanks Julie, certainly fantastic wins for Billy and Mark with the North East team! For all of you going to the Meet on Sunday do take along your cameras. As far as I know no shows this weekend. I am competing with all four dogs at UK Agility on Cheltenham race course Saturday and Sunday, so if you are in the area do come over.

One spectator allowed her toddler to run amok in the ring and outside of it, running into the dogs faces until inevitably one of the dogs barked at the child. Suddenly the ‘parent’ went nuts accusing Lola and another dog of biting her child. Poor Lola had simply been watching it all quietly with her tail wagging, while the other dog had barked in fright when the child literally ran into her, the child didn’t even notice and was then allowed to run into a Rottweiler, Staffy and Collie! As she stood there shouting at me I pointed out that all the dogs were on leads and behaving themselves, which was more than she could say about her child. Where do these people come from?
Enid is now a TV star! She was on last night’s news being interviewed as ten Welsh members of Team GB took to an open-top bus tour and were greeted by a 2,000-strong crowd in Cardiff Bay. They were speaking to some of the crowd and Enid was shown on telly – well done Enid!

Here are some photos of my 9 weeks old puppies. They was born after a cesarean section in the middle of June. Proud father to pups is Bisbee Delta Blue "Stig" and mum are Skybar Supernova Expansion "Nova".
One of the pups has gone to his new home and another one is off later this week, and we still have two pups available. The pups are so beautiful and playful, I'm so pleased to have them. I keep thinking of the hours at the veterinary station before the cesarean section when the vet thought that only one pup was alive! What a great gift that all four were delivered healthy and alive.
Cheers, Nina Engevi and the dogs
Hello Nina what a beautiful litter of pups, it must have been wonderful to see all four pups alive at birth, thank you so much for sending us the photos. __________________________________________________________

Congratulations to all the winners and especially to Sylvia with this lovely bitch and Mark with Q's second ticket.
Good luck to everyone competing in the Scottish show today. If I didn't live so far away, I'd have gone along to meet up and to give support. The weather up here seems to have been better than the rest of the country, as we haven't had much rain at all. Those pesky midges are at their worst just now though, and I had to abandon a photography shoot last night because they were so bad.
People warned me about them before I moved here, and I now know that they weren't exaggerating! They should disappear next month hopefully.
I enclose a pic of Briagha this week, she is growing into a lovely young lady (although she doesn't act like one!)

After the rain and excitement of the fishing it has been a really quiet week with little to report. The dogs have soon settled back into the old routine in the same way that we have. The fishing crowd have gone incognito so we cannot even report on their shenanigans. We await Big Mo's report with bated breath.
The only thing that wound me up this week was the disgustingly biased, unbalanced, half truth that the BBC called a television programme on Tuesday. The same old culprits churning out the same old dross about pedigree dog breeding without allowing the other side of the story any air time. Yes, some breeds are in trouble, with uncaring breeders turning out unhealthy, unsound dogs but all breeders should not be tarred with the same brush. Thanks to the efforts of a few who stuck their necks out a quarter of a century ago, we as a breed can generally hold our heads high as we can claim to have done everything we can to ensure the good health of our breed, and we should redouble our efforts to continue that way. We have already been congratulated on a number of occasions and used as an example by eminent scientists for our dedication to good health. If we are not careful these ignorant anti-dog bigots could easily send our sport the same way as hunting.
Write to Auntie BEEB, telephone them, e-mail them and generally make a fuss about bias or the gullible general public will be demonstrating outside dog shows.
The second picture is Zefír (left) and her oldest daughter Keira (right). Zefir is a new bedlington bitch from Italy with who she started a new bloodline in Hungary.

Note for your Bank Holiday weekend diary
I was unable to send photo's from the north east meet as am at home nursing an Achilles tendon problem - but my sister & family came to visit for the weekend and brought along her lovely old lurcher Bodie.
He soon had the measure of my two - put them in their place initially, but then they all got on like a house on fire. Lily was just happy to have another playmate.
I tried to get pictures of all three together but as you will appreciate, asking them to stand still was near impossible. The second photo (to follow) is of Bodie and Mac - Mac is not looking too impressed by Bodie's attempts at singing
