Sunday Waffle from me!

Good morning, it seems very quiet out in bedlington land this weekend and as far as I know no open shows but we will all be keeping everything crossed for Genie in Best Pup In Show at the "National" this afternoon. We are once again at an agility show today and hoping Parker keeps up his good behaviour and stays on the course. Safe journey to all those who are travelling up to the Scottish Kennel Club show next week. We are not entered but hopefully we will receive a few photos and we will publish the results as soon as we have them. As you know not long now until the Fun Day on May 31st and the Top Bedlington competition and Gala Evening on May 5 at Newbury. Although it may be impossible for some people to attend the Gala evening with the Southern Counties Championship show the next day there has been a positive response to the event with about 50 tickets sold. Whether entered in a fun classes or in the Top Bedlington competition there are a lot of prizes on offer. With a meal and musical entertainment it should be fun event for everyone. To find out more about the evening please check the BTA website. The BTA will be holding a Grooming Seminar at Middleteon Cheyney Banbury in the Autumn, date to be confirmed. Whether you are new to grooming your dog or want to learn how to achieve that professional finish for a show groom, this seminar is for you. This seminar will be invaluable to all our new bedlington owners who would like to learn to trim but don't know what equipment to purchase and then where to begin! I will let you know as soon as I have the confirmed dates. Don't forget the photographic calendar competition, entries don't close until the end of July so plenty of time yet. The Fun day could be just the event to capture that special shot! We do have 65 entries so far but still a long way to go to meet the 170 received last year.
Last but not least don't forget the North East Meet on May 17th, bacon butties, tea and lots of fun and bedlington natter and activities is the order of the morning!
