We Now Hear From Our Young Handler Sarah

Here is my report for Monday : Well done to all those who went to Birmingham National. Looks like you all had fun AVPuppywithout us, lol. Also well done to all who made the trip to SKC. Particularly Viv & Ed with Bonnie, that was a brilliant result.

We were judging the Essex Working Trials Society's Companion Show last Saturday. Mum had the Pedigree classes & I had the Novelty classes. It was rather windy, but the rain held off. Mum was up first, so I was stewarding. We do not have all the results, but here are all the first places :

Any Variety Puppy - 8 entries First was an Akita

Any Variety Hound - 5 entries First was a Whippet

Any Variety Working or Pastoral - 9 entries, 2 absent First was an Australian Shepherd

Any Variety Terrier - 5 entries, 1 absent First was a Border Terrier

Any Variety Toy or Utility - 8 entries First was a Standard Poodle

Any Variety Gundog - 10 entries, 2 absent First was a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever

BIS was the Toller, RBIS was the Border Terrier, BPIS was the Akita

After Mum had finished, we swapped places. I have not got a clue what the results were, but I had nine classes & there were 121 dogs with 166 entries. Prettiest Bitch was probably the biggest class with Thirty-five bitches. At the end of the day I had been jumped up, slobbered on & covered in hair by every dog there, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. We all had a great day though & I would love to do it again. Hopefully we will see you all at the Bedlington Fun day.Sarah, Lilly & Rosie.

What great day, it must have been so difficult for you and Mum to sift through such a huge variety of dogs to find the winners, but such fun! See you soon at the Fun day.

We had a great day, I enjoyed my judging very much, there were some realy nice dogs there and the best in show and reserve could have gone to at least 4 dogs but I had to make a decision or we would still be there now!
Sorry we couldn't take more pictures but we had our hands full. We even had Martin and George fetching rosettes and calling out classes.
