Tom Leavers

I don't know how many of your bloggers will know Tom Leavers, but you may think it useful to put on a note that, sadly, Tom died this morning, after a second courageous battle with cancer.  Tom was a very useful member of the BTA Committee for many years, and had previously judged their Open Show.  He was always a perfect gentleman, helpful and kind to newcomers, and sympathy goes to his family. The information came from Paul Ellis, husband of Madeleine - Tom had stayed in touch with Madeleine, after both of them stopped showing. Thanks, Viv xxx

Thank you Viv our sincere condolences go out to Tom and his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew Tom through his love and commitment to the Bedlington.

Trevor & I remember Tom well and remember him with much fondness. He was one of the first judges we took Archie under as a puppy. He was full of useful advice and encouragement. A really kind gentleman. We send our condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about Tom, I first met him over 30 years ago, he was always so helpful and one of the old school, a proper gentleman and he never said an unkind word about anyone or their dogs.
My condolences to his family

So sorry to hear of Tom's death, he was a true lover of the Bedlington. Tom was one of the rare breed that would help and give advice to the new cummers of the breed. R.I.P.

We first showed Larry under Tom at Bournemouth in 2002. As others have said, he was a true gentleman and always ready to give help and advice. Hefin and I send our condolences to his family.
