l do hope that the standard set by Advisory Council on the Welfare Issues of Dog Breeding is given serious consideration. The KC's guide lines do not go far enough to ensure responsible breeding!!
Unfortunately the standard is far far too draconian in its requirements, to the point that people will either ignore it, or give up breeding dogs completely. Also, who is going to pay to police it, the RSPCA? Or is there just going to be a heavy tax on the responsible once again whilst the feckless and irresponsible get away with it? A laudable idea but impractical.
