Not Only Snow Here But A Hurricane Heading For Oracoke USA

1111

Jacob is getting ready for his first Hurricane. Right now he is busy sleeping in his crate....he did go out to potty wrapped in a raincoat, so I could get him under the house where it is dry. He was very confused as to why he went outside this way! We will keep you posted on our storm situation as long as the power stays on!

NO SNOW HERE!!! we had wind and tide for 3 days....everything is closed and we are hoping to re-open at the end of the week. We lost our road, again, in the same place as the storm last year....no access to the north for a bit of time. Jacob seemed to enjoy being blown about in the wind. With so much tide in the yard, the dogs had to be carried to a dry spot to potty. They would come to the bottom of the steps, wait for me to pick them up and carry them to the dry spot. When they were done, they waited at the edge of the water to be picked up and carried back to the steps. I do have some photos to post, but they are on Chris's phone, so I will send them later. All is well here. The sun was out today and it was a great day to clean up the storm debris in the yard. The garden is gone though, 3 feet of salt water did it in.

Glad to hear that you are all safe. It's funny our dogs seem more lively when it's windy.
