Closing After Crufts

Logo

After goodness knows after how many years I feel it’s time to move on and have finally decided to close the blog after Crufts, Jon will be at the ringside as usual and we close the blog with this year’s photos.   Many thanks to everyone who has contributed and  especially to all  who have posted regularly over many years!. I feel  the blog has been an invaluable source of information to those new to the breed, an informative media in which to publish bedlington dogs in need of rescue, shows, news and special events. If you require information on the bedlington do visit one of the bedlington face book groups. Many thanks to everyone Lesley

A big THANK YOU Lesley for all the years of providing us with all types of Bedlington News, The Blog will be missed I am sure by everyone that has viewed it. I know I will,

A damned shame you feel unable to continue but THANK YOU BOTH for your efforts over the years. Those of us who dislike the twaddle and rubbish on much of the social media really appreciated the blog and treated it like a newspaper.

So sorry that you are closing the blog but I have seen first hand how much work you and Jon need to put in to keep it going.

Although you are now moving on to pastures new with the gorgeous Steiff, hopefully we will still see you at some shows, and thank you so much for all the hard work you have both done over the years. As a newcomer I have met so many people and received so much advice over the last few years, via the blog and it will be sorely missed. xxx

Thank you so much Lesley and Jon for all the hard work you've done over the years keeping the blog going. I'm sure it's been very much appreciated by more people than you'll ever know

Although I haven't been showing in the last couple of years, having other commitments, the blog has meant that I still have been able to keep up with the Bedlington (and their people) news.

With much sadness and many many thanks

I am certainly not giving up with the Bedlington but going to divide my time between agility with Steiff and showing. I am looking forward to handling a puppy by Parker later this year.

I am happy to do the work on the blog but news, events and results and photos are mostly published to facebook. I am receiving less and less emails to be posted to the blog. The blogs success was due to it being updated everyday. On our last day
I expect we will have a lot of visitors to see the Crufts photos which will be fantastic.

To Lesley & Jon. I am so sorry to see the blog go. It has been a valuable source of information and indeed, inspiration, especially when I first became a Bedlington owner and knew little and very few people. I can understand that it must take a lot of your time and for that I am sure there are many people, like myself, who will always be grateful. I think that the stats showing that over a million people have viewed the blog speak for themselves. We will miss you. I just hope that perhaps someone out there can take it on?
With sincere thanks, Nigel and Amber.

We will all miss the blog. Facebook is OK but you can't beat the blog for information that is easy to read and there for more than a few mins.
Thank you both for all the hard work. Morning coffee won't be the same.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work and effort and to all who have contributed, it has been a great way to find out more about this wonderful breed that wormed it's way into my heart when I had the privelige to have Sooty (bedlington poodle (allegedly)) from a rescue centre back in 2003, this led me to find out more about Bedlingtons and get to meet some wonderful friendly knowledgeable owners, both in person and virtually, and then led to Boy finding me! See you on FB x

That last comment is from me, Andrea, and Boy and not from my brother Chris and his JR by the way, he is staying with me temporarily and his Google a/c has usurped my own! Andrea and Boy x

Thank you so much! The blog was a big help on the way to get my Bedlington Timmi and I enjoyed it! Sorry that I have not posted more of Timmi, he is now 8 month! Very loving dog but still so afraid of other dogs! What I have seen on Facebook is good but not the same! Thank you once more, definitely miss the blog! xx
